Oh, hail King Karl with your multitasking skills. Just when you thought he couldn’t add one more brand to his resume, a much loved Brazilian brand has stolen his attention.

Karl Lagerfeld developed his first collaboration collation with brand our fav and most comfortable shoe brand Melissa.

“I had never worked with plastic in this way before. It’s not the classic technique, I am used to working with more traditional techniques for Fendi, Chanel and Lagerfeld shoes. My inspiration was the native country of the brand, celebrating the Brazilian “joie de vivre”. Explains Lagerfeld

This partnership, which will continue for four capsule collections with Melissa, will help him to get to know Brazil and its industry better. Finally, when asked about who he would like to see wearing his creations, he stated: “A designer should never ask himself such a question”.

About the styles

Melissa Glam + Karl Lagerfeld is a point flat ballerina shoe that presents in its front part an application with three transparent spheres. This style´s color´s pallet presents sober and metallic tones: white, black, gray, silver and gold. Basic chic with the designer’s signature.

Melissa Incense + Karl Lagerfeld presents the fun touch that the designer reserves for the special pieces in his collection. This style has a glitter application on the back side of the heel, which is in the shape of a shinny ice cream cone.

Elegance is the key word to define this launch of the Melissa + Karl Lagerfeld collection. This thin point shoe style contains double straps at the ankle and a color pallet with sober tones: black, gray, burgundy, badge and matte blue.

And finally, Melissa Ginga which honors Brazil with a colour pallette inspired by the country native flag.
