I am one of those women who look better in clothes, rather than in my underwear, bikini’s, or well, nude. Clothing gives me confidence, I enjoy wearing clothes, and it represents my identity through the way I style myself. When I was asked by Triumph to collaborate with them to feature their gorgeous Amourette collection, I was a little bit hesitant to peel off my precious security-layers and bare more skin than usual, but I do love to challenge myself and when I saw the pretty, yet silky product, felt it and put it on, it gave me a whole new confidence I didn’t know I had.

I think there is something about luxurious lingerie that makes a woman feel powerful, kind of sexy but more beautiful in ways we might have previously been too scared to discover. This is how I felt on this photo shoot.

Since having children, I wear daggy, nude coloured underwear, a boring and basic t-shirt bra that is so old and I go along with my day and wonder why my husband doesn’t look at me with those ‘Ooh ooh, ahh ahh sexy eyes’ when I strip down before bed anymore, it’s just a glimpse at me in the corner of his eye and a look that says ‘ok lets hit the sack’. I could see the hope in his eyes as I take off my jeans and then the let-down as he see’s those darn nude (and clearly old and worn out) undies …yet again (he often jokes that I wear the same pair every day).

Since this shoot, I have worn the Triumph Amourette sets (matching bra and brief) on a daily basis and lets just say, there is something to say about that twinkle in my husbands eye at night and the fact I am so hotted up under my clothing that is isn’t funny! (ha!) The best way to describe how I feel wearing good quality, luxury lingerie is next level confidence. Imagine how confident I feel in an awesome outfit I have put together, times 10 because I am styled in matching lingerie under the layers and styled on the outside. I even threw my nude coloured underwear away, I now feel like a brand new (little bit sexy and hell of a lot more confident) me.
