As you know I am a huge fan of dressing for the races, it gives me an opportunity to express my styling and forward thinking and wear it in a public place, which I otherwise could not do here in Melbourne. The coming weeks, I will be focusing on all aspects of races, from pushing the fashion boundaries and using millinery in wearable every day looks, to classic looks and the first part of this dedication is with my personal milliner and beautiful friend Danica Erard. If you don’t know her, just jump on instagram and look up #hatgirl and see celebrities celebrating her pieces. I love this lady, I love how fashion focused she is and her eye for looking outside the square of the norm and expectations of millinery. A little time ago, she asked me what I would like to see creatively in her collection and when I mentioned the word crowns, she studied it and developed something so spectacular, I have no doubt we will be seeing this signature pieces on many a fashionista at this years Melbourne Cup Carnival.

My gorgeous photographer Karen Woo, is my partner in creative styling, we can wait to show you the rest of this editorial, watch this space!
