Every morning, my day starts off with being woken up by my children, getting dragged (literally) out of bed before I could even get a glimpse of my instagram feed, hand out bananas, make milk bottles and come face to face with those dishes from last nights dinner I almost forgot about. Luckily for me, I trained my husband well and after he casually (and at-his-own-pace) rolls out of bed and into a hot warm shower, he gets dressed and immediately heads out to fetch me my morning coffee. So, after half an hour of being awake and being the banana and milk lady, my day kicks off to a good start. I am what you would call, a coffee snob, I love a good coffee and I enjoy two a day. I know a good coffee place when I see one and boy, do I know when to order a chai or hot chocolate when I am basically anywhere that is 10ks out of Melbourne!
Saying all this, these gorgeous images were shot at my favourite cafe, Grapeseed. They have the best coffee in Melbourne in my books and when I put on my new Karen Millen twin set, I knew exactly where I wanted to capture it. The basket weave pop of yellow on the outfit, worked so well amongst the chairs at the cafe and luckily for me, the sun was shining with a hint of spring in the air. I am not much of a spring summer girl, but this year, I am so sick of the chill, I am ready to embrace the heat. Also a few cute spring racing pieces too, which is next on my shopping list of things to look out for.
