No kids it this look but I hope you like it just the same. You know I am a sucker for designer clothes, I can’t always afford them as I choose to invest in pieces such as handbags, shoes and accessories that will last a life time, but when it is vintage? Well, you don’t have to twist my arm. There is something about vintage designer clothing I love most of all. It is a combination of owning something that another fashionista wore in her hey day, owning a piece that was made for a time gone by, an era or iconic generation and basically, because it is a unique piece that no one else will be wearing.

Every time I visit Paris, I go to a vintage store called Gabrielle Geppert and buy something special to remember my trip by and when I got home the last time, I tried to see if I could purchase her stock online. Sadly being a million miles away in Aus, this wasn’t possible but lucky for me, so randomly, I discovered a Melbourne based vintage designer store (then store, now online store) called Hawkeye Vintage. My first visit, I came out with too many things that I couldn’t say no to (naughty me!). I also got to meet the owner, Danielle, a couture collector for many years. Danielle is living the dream, constantly travels the world, sourcing gorgeous vintage designer goods from Paris through to Japan and brings back the most beautiful designer clothing, jewellery and handbags I have ever seen. She has a great eye for finding the best fashion such as the Celine pants I wear in this outfit and Dior shirt, Oh and this Chanel necklace that is my current obsession!

Good news for you (and me!!!) Hawkeye Vintage is hosting a Pop Up Event
