We have been waiting and waiting and WAITING for H&M to hit our shores since rumours of the first European high street store arrived a few years ago. The wait is over and I am so pleased to inform you that the first Melbourne H&M store will open its doors in April 2014 at our iconic GPO building and spanning approx 5,000 square metres!
If you are like me and your wardrobe makes up 70% high street fast fashion mixed with the rest being luxury shoes, bags and accessories, then you should be as excited as I am. What I love about H&M since visiting my first store when I was o/s was how affordable the pieces are, not to mention a real push in forward fashion. Actually, it is the collaboration of top designers and H&M that excites me and puts the brand in a higher league compared to the other high street chain stores. It was my Lanvin for H&M couture dress that I bought (a one off- I was the highest bidder) that first sent my blog stats into a frenzy back in 2010 (see the blog post HERE)
