Chanel Fall 2010

Attention all Eskimos! Chanel has something special just for you… Fur Fur and more Fur! Fur with leather, Fur with tweed and Fur fringed embroideries.
Now before PETA aims a tofu pie at Karl again, all you animal activists out there can rest assure your furry little friends are safe in the house of Chanel, yes the F/W2010 Chanel collection is ‘costume fur’ (Karl’s translation of ‘fake’)

Apart from the abundance of fur and a sure highlight of Karl’s muse and model Baptiste Giabiconi dressed in a wookie style jump suit, we see the true winter blacks, whites, greys, ice blues, browns and silver and a big impact on jewellery. This collection really showed one extreme with the real couture style fur pieces, to the classics plain black and white mini dresses and all whites and then combined the two for great styling of textures and layers.

My favourite looks are those mixed with tweed and fur such as the amazing fur boots matched with a tweed sweater dress, or the Karl-Esq shirt tie combo with those to die for capped shoe x boot.
I mean the long sleeve look with a mini- I’m sold (style note:all short length skirts)

Karl has done it again! who else could pull this off? and who else could make this mass invasion of fur wearable? Now I don’t know about you, but I am sure looking forward to seeing what Chanel shows for 2011’s seasons.
