We are close to the end of the school holidays mamas and I don’t know if I am excited or scared! You see, before school holidays came, I couldn’t wait for them so I didn’t have to get the baby in and out the car twice a day. I wouldn’t have to get up early to make lunches and I wouldn’t have to leave the house with my pj’s still on, hiding under a puffer jacket.

But then, you are on school holidays and the first bit is ok, you sleep in, you and the kids are in their pyjamas until 11am, no rush in the world… until… the fights start!

Cabin fever sets in and you start to scramble for new things to entertain two active boys. After Christmas was the hardest, Josh went back to work on Boxing Day, we went away to Lorne and came back after a week and still had too many weeks to kill. I mentioned in a previous post, the only way I could really cope with three children, one being a baby, is if we stayed home, but there is only so much home time the kids can tolerate!

So, earlier this week we visited the Mr. Men inspired Craft Village at Pacific Werribee which was a real school holiday winner. The boys were able to combine their love of art and music through colouring and making little tambourines to bring home – lucky me. Will even got to meet Little Miss Hug (Aston is scared of characters so he sat this one out out). This activation is open until this Thursday the 25th Jan.

The next week and half before school starts is always a little chaotic with trying to balance getting the kids ready for school whilst managing to keep them entertained. I’m planning on heading back to Pacific Werribee this Saturday, to pick up school supplies for the boys – school shoes, lunch boxes, Tupperware etc. I wouldn’t usually bring the kids along as I always end up with unnecessary additions sneakily thrown into the cart, however with the recent launch of the Pacific Werribee Summer Sessions, I can shop in peace while mum and the boys keep entertained.

Summer Sessions Series is a four-week entertainment series for the whole family to enjoy during the warmer evenings. Complete with live music performances and a summer fun kids zone all within the bustling casual dining area, the Urban Diner. Launching this Saturday with Aussie rock icon Diesel (he will be playing from 2-3pm), Summer Sessions will be running every Friday, and Saturday until February 17th.  I can’t wait to take Aston this Saturday, he loves music!

Also, the following week is the beginning of the Pacific Kids Club, a series of children’s activities, held each Tuesday from 30th January – 27th March between 10-1pm at the Kids Mall. Children will have the chance to meet and greet the much-loved Minions character in addition to various activities such as cupcake decorating, Find Dory mosaic art making and more – see here for full schedule

So, if you are still looking for some activities to do over the coming weeks and you are in Melbourne, Pacific Werribee has you covered!
