Hetty Kate and Evan Spargo (Faces of Caulfield)

Nicole Precel, Franco Schifilliti and me

Just when you think the racing season is over, we look to the country and smaller races to keep the buzz still alive. I popped along to the Sandown Guineas on Saturday to judge the fashion on the field, my favourite pass time if you haven’t noticed. I had such a fun day, it might have been a smaller day in the scheme of the passed few weeks but I can tell you that no detail was unturned when it came to the entrants of the fashions. This blue ASOS dress stole the show taking the winning sash for the day with the stunning blue floral headpiece made in Bosnia (these girls who enter these comps live and breath their outfits) I wore a Felicity Boevink visor that I immediately fell in love with at fist sight, what do you think of the hologram?

This Saturday is the Ballarat Cup and if you aren’t going already, well, perhaps it might tempt you if you knew that Kris Smith will be judging the fashions? (gasp!) The handsome Myer Ambassador will have his oh-so dreamy eyes on the entrants of ‘Myer Lady of the Day’, ‘Myer Local Lady of the Day,’ ‘Myer Man of the Day’ and the ‘Myer Millinery Award’.

Mr Smith’s top tips include, “Attention to detail, embracing bold colours and appropriateness. When it comes to racing fashion ensure that you always dress appropriately for the day – ladies, don’t reveal too much skin and millinery is a must! For the men, accessorising can complete the look,”

Now, excuse me whilst I flick through my iPhone searching for a friend who feels like a road trip!
